Slack is a messaging platform for teams that organizes conversations into channels, direct messages, and threads. Companies use it for day-to-day communication, file sharing, and connecting the other tools their teams work with.
The Slack integration lets you catch up on long threads, find the message where a decision was made, and post an update to a channel without leaving Omnifact. You can search past conversations, read full threads and channel histories, and send messages from a conversation. Users sign in with their own Slack account and only see and post to the channels and conversations they have access to in Slack.

Yes. Ask Omnifact to read a long Slack thread or the last two weeks of a project channel, and you get a summary of what was decided and what is still open. You can also find the message where a decision was made by keyword, person, channel, or date. It is the fastest way back in after a vacation or a busy week.
Ask Omnifact to draft a status update, reply in a thread, send a direct message, or schedule a message for later. Omnifact shows you the text in the chat and sends it only after you confirm, so nothing goes out that you have not read. Messages are sent from your own Slack account, and admins decide which Slack actions are allowed.
Yes, the private channels, direct messages, and group messages you are a member of. Everyone signs in with their own Slack account, so Omnifact works with each person's own access and never through a shared admin account. Conversations you cannot open in Slack stay private, and you can disconnect your Slack account at any time.
Omnifact can read a Slack canvas, create a new one with formatted content, or update an existing one, and it can create Slack lists and add or update their items. A project lead can turn a long thread into a meeting notes canvas or add the follow-up tasks to a list. Changes wait for your confirmation by default.
Yes. Omnifact can use several connected tools in one conversation and picks the ones a request needs. A support lead can have Omnifact read a customer thread in Slack, check the related ticket, and draft a reply, all in one go. Admins can also connect other systems, including ones you build yourself.
Your Slack messages stay in Slack under your agreement with Slack. Omnifact reads them live when a request needs them, instead of copying or indexing your workspace in advance, and what it reads becomes part of that conversation. Omnifact is operated in Germany, business data is not used to train the connected AI models, and admins can limit Omnifact to European or Europe-hosted models.
Your IT team first sets up a one-time connection in Slack, and your Slack admins approve it. An Omnifact admin then adds Slack once for the whole organization, and everyone signs in with their own Slack account. From then on, Slack is available in every Omnifact conversation.
Connect Slack and the other tools your team already uses, and let Omnifact look up information and take care of everyday tasks.
