Google Chat is Google's team messaging app, part of Google Workspace. It supports direct messages, group chats, and spaces organized around a team, topic, or project, with threaded replies and file sharing.
With the Google Chat integration, you can search messages across your Google Chat spaces, catch up on what a group discussed, and post a reply in a Chat space or direct message conversation from Omnifact. Users sign in with their own Google account and only see and post in conversations they have access to in Google Chat.
Google offers this integration as a preview. It may change, and your organization may need to enroll with Google before using it.

Yes. Omnifact reads the recent messages in a Google Chat space or group chat and gives you a short summary. Ask what the project space decided while you were out, which questions in the team space are still open, or what a colleague wrote about a customer escalation. Omnifact can also mark the conversations you have caught up on as read.
Yes. Omnifact posts a message in a Google Chat space or direct message, as a new thread or a reply, for example a meeting summary for your team space. Messages appear under your own Google account, and each one waits for your confirmation in the chat by default, so nothing is posted that you have not read. Admins decide which actions are allowed.
Yes. Omnifact uses several connected tools in one conversation and picks the ones a request needs. A support lead can have Omnifact read a customer thread in Google Chat, look up the related ticket, and draft a status update for the team space, then review it before anything is posted.
Exactly what you can already see in Google Chat: the spaces, group chats, and direct messages your Google account belongs to. Everyone signs in with their own Google account, so nobody gets access through a shared admin account, and anyone can disconnect their account again at any time.
Your Google Chat content stays in Google Chat under your agreement with Google. Omnifact reads messages live when a request needs them, instead of copying or indexing your spaces in advance, and what it reads becomes part of that conversation. Omnifact is operated in Germany, business data is not used to train the connected AI models, and admins can limit Omnifact to European or Europe-hosted models.
Your IT team first sets up a one-time connection in Google. Google currently offers this through an early access program that your organization joins. An Omnifact admin then adds Google Chat once for the whole organization, and everyone signs in with their own Google account.
Connect Google Chat and the other tools your team already uses, and let Omnifact look up information and take care of everyday tasks.
