Claude Opus 4.8 is now available on Omnifact. Anthropic's flagship model arrives with a massive upgrade to its context window, now supporting up to 1 million tokens, alongside meaningful gains in reasoning depth and coding reliability over Claude Opus 4.7.

What's New in Claude Opus 4.8

Claude Opus 4.8 is tuned for the work that benefits most from a top-tier model: multi-step analysis, complex refactors, and research across massive datasets. Compared to the previous Opus generation, you can expect:

• Massive 1-million token context window: The context limit has been expanded to 1 million tokens, allowing you to analyze entire codebases, extensive document libraries, and long conversation histories in a single prompt.
• Sharper reasoning: Improved handling of complex logic and multi-step problem solving, making it even more capable for advanced engineering and data analysis tasks.
• Stronger coding and tool use: More reliable tool calls and code generation for agentic workflows and engineering tasks.

Claude Opus 4.8 is available in the EU via Google Cloud's Vertex AI as well as directly from Anthropic, hosted in the US.
