Feature Drop: Claude Opus 4.7 Now Available

Published on April 21st, 2026

Claude Opus 4.7 is now available on Omnifact. Anthropic's flagship model arrives with knowledge current through January 2026 and meaningful gains in reasoning depth, coding reliability, and long-context precision over Claude Opus 4.6.

What's New in Claude Opus 4.7

Claude Opus 4.7 is tuned for the work that benefits most from a top-tier model: multi-step analysis, complex refactors, and research across long documents. Compared to the previous Opus generation, you can expect:

  • More current answers: a January 2026 knowledge cutoff means the model is aware of recent standards, libraries, and events without needing as much manual context.
  • Sharper long-context reasoning: improved handling of large documents and multi-file contexts, with fewer lost details across long threads.
  • Stronger coding and tool use: more reliable tool calls and code generation for agentic workflows and engineering tasks.

Claude Opus 4.7 is available in the EU via Google Cloud's Vertex AI as well as directly from Anthropic, hosted in the US.

How to Access

Because of the cost and intensity of running a top-tier model, Claude Opus 4.7 is available to organizations upon request. If you'd like it enabled for your workspace, reach out to your account manager or our support team and we'll activate it for you.
