### Who can ask Omnifact about synced OneDrive for Business files?

The members of the Space. Everyone with access to the Space can ask about the synced files and see the source citations, and Space membership is what controls access. Omnifact does not mirror the sharing settings of individual OneDrive files, so choose folders every Space member may see, such as a shared project or department folder, and give restricted material its own Space.

### How does Omnifact keep OneDrive for Business folders up to date?

Omnifact keeps the Space in sync with the folders you chose. New, changed, and deleted files are picked up automatically, so nobody has to upload a revised contract or report again. Answers always draw on the current version, and every answer names its source files, so you can open the original in OneDrive for Business and check the details.

### Which file types does Omnifact read from OneDrive for Business?

Omnifact reads PDF, Word, PowerPoint, OpenDocument text and presentations, plain text, Markdown, CSV, and JSON files from OneDrive for Business, up to 500 MB per file. Contracts, policies, slide decks, and meeting notes are typical examples. Excel workbooks are the exception: export key tables as CSV, and a Space can answer from them as well.

### Where does Omnifact store documents from OneDrive for Business?

Synced documents are stored and indexed in Omnifact, inside the Space they were synced into, so answers come back quickly and with sources. The original files stay in OneDrive for Business under your agreement with Microsoft. Omnifact is operated in Germany, business data is not used to train the connected AI models, and admins can limit Omnifact to European or Europe-hosted models.

### How do I connect OneDrive for Business to Omnifact?

An Omnifact admin turns on OneDrive for Business once for the whole organization. You then connect your Microsoft work or school account in your account settings under App Connections, and a Space admin chooses which folders sync into the Space. In some organizations, your IT team approves Omnifact once in Microsoft first.
