# Google Drive

Google Drive is Google's cloud storage service, part of Google Workspace. Teams use it to store, organize, and share documents, spreadsheets, presentations, PDFs, and other files, with access set per file or folder.

With the Google Drive integration, you can use your Drive files as context in a conversation in Omnifact: find a document by name or content, read a file to summarize a report or compare two documents, or check who owns a file and who it is shared with. You can also save new files, such as a draft prepared in the conversation, or make a copy of an existing file. Users sign in with their own Google account and only see and change files they have access to in Google Drive.

Google offers this integration as a preview. It may change, and your organization may need to enroll with Google before using it.

### Can Omnifact save a meeting summary as a new Google Doc?

Yes. Omnifact saves text from your conversation, such as a meeting summary or a draft report, as a new Google Doc or file in the folder you choose. You see what will be saved and confirm it in the chat first, and admins decide which actions are allowed.

### Which Google Drive files can Omnifact see?

Exactly the files you can already open in Google Drive. Everyone signs in with their own Google account, so a colleague with less access sees less, and Omnifact never works through a shared admin account. Anyone can disconnect their Google account from Omnifact again at any time.

### How does Omnifact handle Google Drive files?

Your Google Drive content stays in Google Drive under your agreement with Google. Omnifact reads files live when a request needs them, instead of copying or indexing your Drive in advance, and what it reads becomes part of that conversation.
