# Asana

Asana is a work management platform for planning projects, assigning tasks, and tracking progress toward goals. Teams use it to coordinate work across departments, from campaign plans and product launches to recurring operational processes.

Check where an Asana project stands, turn action items from a meeting into tasks with owners and due dates, and update or complete tasks as plans change. With the Asana integration, users can find tasks, projects, and goals, check their status, create or update tasks, and post comments and status updates directly from Omnifact. Users sign in with their own Asana account and only see and change tasks and projects they have access to in Asana.

## What to know before using Asana with Omnifact

Use cases, setup, and permissions when your team connects Asana to Omnifact.

### What can Omnifact do with Asana?

Omnifact answers questions about your Asana work and takes care of routine updates. Project managers ask which tasks are overdue or blocked, team leads check what a colleague has open, and operations teams set up a recurring process as a new project. Omnifact can also combine Asana with your other connected tools in the same conversation.

### Can I turn meeting notes into Asana tasks with Omnifact?

Yes. Paste your meeting notes or attach the minutes, and Omnifact creates the follow-up tasks in the right Asana project with owners and due dates. You review the list in the chat and confirm it before anything appears in Asana. Afterwards, ask Omnifact to adjust a due date or reassign a task.

### How do I check an Asana project status with Omnifact?

Ask in plain language, for example for the open tasks, owners, due dates, and blockers of a project or portfolio. Omnifact reads the current state from Asana and summarizes it, so you do not open ten boards before a weekly meeting. You can also have Omnifact post the result as a status update in Asana.

### Which Asana tasks and projects can Omnifact see?

Exactly what you can already see in Asana. Everyone signs in with their own Asana account, so requests run with each person's own permissions, changes appear under their name, and nothing runs through a shared account. Anyone can disconnect their Asana account from Omnifact again at any time.

### Does Omnifact ask before changing tasks in Asana?

Yes. By default, creating, changing, or deleting anything in Asana waits for your confirmation in the chat, while lookups run right away. If you ask for five new tasks, you see all five before they appear in Asana. Admins decide which Asana actions are allowed, which need confirmation, and which are switched off.

### How does Omnifact handle Asana data?

Your Asana content stays in Asana under your agreement with Asana. Omnifact reads tasks and projects live when a request needs them, instead of copying or indexing your workspace in advance, and what it reads becomes part of that conversation. Omnifact is operated in Germany, business data is not used to train the connected AI models, and admins can limit Omnifact to European or Europe-hosted models.

### How do I connect Asana to Omnifact?

Your IT team first sets up a one-time connection in Asana for the workspaces that should use Omnifact. An Omnifact admin then adds Asana once for the whole organization, and everyone signs in with their own Asana account. No further setup is needed per person.

## Ready to automate work across your tools with Omnifact?

Connect Asana and the other tools your team already uses, and let Omnifact look up information and take care of everyday tasks.
