# Feature Drop: GPT-6 Sol and Luna Now Available

OpenAI's new GPT-6 models, **GPT-6 Sol** and **GPT-6 Luna**, are now available on Omnifact. Following our earlier rollouts of the [GPT-5.6 series](https://omnifact.ai/blog/feature-drop-gpt-5-6-sol-terra-luna) and [GPT-5.5 on Azure](https://omnifact.ai/blog/feature-drop-azure-gpt-5-5), they give teams two practical options: a high-capability model for demanding technical work and a fast, economical model for routine tasks. Both models can be run through [Microsoft Azure in the EU or direct endpoints](https://omnifact.ai/blog/feature-drop-azure-openai-integration).

## Sol for Depth, Luna for Everyday Tasks

Rather than using one model for everything, the GPT-6 release splits everyday assistance from heavy technical work:

-   **GPT-6 Sol:** The most capable OpenAI model in Omnifact. Sol is suited for programming, code reviews, debugging, system architecture, and detailed data analysis where the assistant needs to plan multiple steps and verify its own work.
-   **GPT-6 Luna:** The lightweight, cost-effective option. Luna is built for quick turnarounds: drafting emails, summarizing notes, translating text, and everyday chat where speed and low token usage matter most.

## Choosing Between Sol and Luna

The two tiers let organizations match the model to the difficulty of the assignment:

Separating these workloads prevents teams from spending premium credits on simple queries while keeping deep reasoning available for harder problems.

## Enabling GPT-6 for Your Team

Both models are available today across all Omnifact organizations, hosted with European data residency on Microsoft Azure alongside direct US endpoints. Every interaction remains protected under zero data retention commitments and Omnifact's [Privacy Filter](https://omnifact.ai/blog/feature-drop-privacy-filter).

Team administrators can activate both models in the model settings. You can make GPT-6 Luna available as an included base-tier model for the entire team, while access to the premium GPT-6 Sol can be assigned to select user groups using the Premium Models permission in [Group Management](https://omnifact.ai/blog/feature-drop-group-management), maintaining central oversight over model access and department budgets.
